Have you ever overcommitted?

We all have at one time in our lives.  As leaders, our actions and words must align to truly embody integrity. When we overcommit, we can't follow through.  Following through on our commitments sets us apart, not just as individuals but as representatives of the companies and communities we serve. When we  our standards are high, we not only strengthen trust and respect but also set a powerful example for the next generation of leaders. By leading with integrity, we ensure that our legacy is one of honesty, accountability, and positive impact—values that resonate far beyond our own actions and inspire others to follow in our footstep.

So back to the question; Have you ever overcommitted? What do you do?  Most people will try to overcompensate when you know you have overcommitted.  That just leads to more stress.  True leadership means delivering on your promises. Take a few moments each day to look ahead, double check and only say yes to what you know you can actually do!

What August brought us:

We heard from Lori Dwyer of PCHC.  She shared the history and impact of the organization and their mission of Health equity for thriving communities.

Matt Dwyer from the UNITED WAY shared with us that ALICE lives in every community.  Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed people.  It was very enlightening to see the the passion of this organization to help the people who are often overlooked in life. If you would like to give, https://homeunitedway.org/donate/

Kyra Kimble of CCM-4U shared her story for helping the underdog.  As a single mother of 4, she pursued her education and began her career of advocating for others.  She now owns her own company and continues to advocate for those who can’t advocate for themselves.

Our district Governor Dino Marzaro was with us as well.  He shared the Magic of  Rotary and how it changed his life.  With his accent and humor taught us that the best connection is always in person!  Sometimes to bring the magic to a life, you simply have to be intentional.
Happy Sad Dollar Challenge

Let's challenge ourselves to raise our "happy" and "sad" dollars to help eradicate polio. Each contribution funds vital vaccinations. I personally have come to really enjoy this part of our meeting as you find out a lot about each other!   The greater good is knowing you are part of a global effort to eradicate this disease. Increasing our donations brings us closer to a polio-free world.
